A bequest is a well-known way to make a significant one-time charitable gift. To make a bequest, simply name the Basilica Heritage Foundation, Inc. in your Last Will and Testament.

RRSPs and RIFs

RRSPs and RIFs: simply name the Basilica Heritage Foundation, Inc. as the beneficiary on your RRSP or RRIF. Note: You may name more than one entity as a beneficiary on these financial plans

Life Insurance Donations

You may name the Basilica Heritage Foundation, Inc., as the beneficiary on your life insurance policy.

Publicly Listed Securities

(for example, Canada Savings Bonds) This option provides an immediate source of revenue for the Basilica Heritage Foundation and offers the following immediate advantages to the donor. 1. It provides a tax receipt for the full market value of the stocks you donate, and 2. Exempts you from capital gains realized on the disposal of the securities.
